Fedele, I have the same Primaluce rings on my TSA-120 as you. I mount mine using the larger Losmandy or D-style plate vice the Vixen style. But, the TSA-120 is light enough that for visual use the Vixen-style plate works just fine and is what your mount saddle requires. Opposite the D-style plate I did exactly what you are suggesting.

The TSA-120 is a great scope by all accounts, good choice, I would say. I have a field flattener with my APM 80mm F/6, but only ever use that for imaging. Getting the distance to the image plane (field stop) of the EP right is a bit of a faff, and I didn't notice any benefit from it, either in the LVW 42 and the Nagler 31T5 (a.k.a. Panzerfaust).
